LOCAL BUISNESSES AND CLUBS JOIN HAITI RELIEF EFFORTS
Much like the rest of the Caribbean, and the rest of the world, many local business places have made efforts to assist Haiti in their time of need. Haiti, an impoverished Caribbean island, experienced a 7.0 Earthquake on Tuesday 12th January, causing widespread destruction damage and fatalities in the country.
Digicel has put in place a text-to contribute system, where one can text "HELP" to shortcode 5151 to donate $1 to the relief efforts. Voyagers has put up a sign urging vincentians to drop their donations in a basket inside. And Karib Cable have joined forces with other clubs to collect cans and dried food.
